Kael came to visit! The main goal of his visit was to relax and to see the Iditarod start, but we also took the opportunity to show off the cabin as well! Speaking of showing off, Denali wanted to be noticed too.
On our way back from Lily Lake where we took the above pictures, we saw this moose on Kroto Creek.
Trapper needs a haircut! He also tried sitting on Kael's lap on the way up north. Didn't last long!
Kael and I grew up doing puzzles in the winter time. When the power would go out there wasn't always much else to do...except thaw out water for our bunnies (they lived in the barn outside) and haul water in from the pond to flush the toilet! Anyway...we spent some time on puzzles at the cabin as well.
And of course, we had a fire and skated down on the lake.
It was a fun couple of days, then we headed home to see the ceremonial start of the Iditarod in Anchorage.
