SURPRISE! Merry Christmas, Girls!

We've been keeping a secret from you!  Meet Trapper, our Christmas present for the girls.  We've been working on this surprise since August...there have been some bumps in the road and a few twists and turns, but it's all worked out for the best.  Trapper is an amazing puppy and is quickly finding his place in our family.

The girls had no idea.  Trapper flew from Missouri to Portland on November 3 and was picked up by my parents.  They cared for him and potty trained him (I can't thank them enough for that!!), socialized him and began to train him.  Scott and I got daily updates and puppy grams--it was so fun to watch him grow and learn!  On December 20 my parents took him to the airport and turned him over to Scott's parents and Alaska Airlines for his trip to Alaska.  Scott went to town and picked the three of them up.

We cooked up a reveal that included the three people in town that we had let in on the secret.  The girls were speechless...they were sure he belonged to someone else!

He was a little hesitant that night...so many, many new things and people! He has such a sweet personality though--and for a puppy he's so mellow!  He just rolls with the punches, hardly ever getting upset about anything.

He's learning about the snow and the wind...so far, so good!  We're so glad to have you as part of our family, Trapper!  We can't wait to watch you grow and learn!
