It feels like forever since I checked in here, but I looked back and realized it hasn't been! I guess there's just been a lot of living in those few days.
Our Christmas Day was wonderful--even though it started at 5:30am! We got up, opened our stockings and had biscuits and gravy for breakfast. Then it was time for our family presents! There were lots of smiles!
Here are the girls and I in our matching PJ pants. These were part of my sewing marathon when they went down to Washington earlier this month. I let them open them on Christmas Eve...they were delighted!
Back to Christmas morning...bet you're wondering what can make an 8 year old smile like that, huh? It's a latch hook kit! Makes me chuckle, but she liked the stories as we wandered through Michael's about how it was something I used to do with my Grandma, so she was delighted to get one of her own to work on.
Speaking of delighted, I sure was! I got to go on a treasure hunt for my gift, so here we are in our laundry room on the 10th floor with our laundry roomie's coin-op washer photo bombing us!
Scott and the girls worked hard and built me one of these storage bins for hats, mittens, scarves, etc. To make it even more special they had a local artist of ours decorate the front of one of the bins! Such a wonderful gift!
Here's Stacy at the end of her treasure hunt with her new blanket from Kelsey. She's pleased!
Here's Stacy looking on as Kelsey goes page.by.page through the photo album Stacy made her for her birthday. Kelsey is sleeping with the album. No. I am not kidding.
For the first time ever we were able to Skype with both sets of grandparents without any dropped calls or missing audio. Score one for Skype for helping us stay connected with our loved ones!
We stayed in our PJs until it was time to head down to the community Christmas dinner. I love the way this community comes together for holidays! It's a potluck and there were so many yummy things...so much love!
Hope you had a very Merry Christmas too!

And here's Scott with his new rifle case. It turned out to be too small, so it's headed back to Amazon land tomorrow. Oh well...a bigger one will soon take its place.
