Happy Easter!

Hope you had a happy Easter...we sure did!  Scott's mom (aka Grandma Moo) is visiting us and arrived last Thursday when the girls were out of school.  We picked her up at the airport and headed north to our friends' cabin.  I took along some cookie dough and some hard boiled eggs so we wouldn't miss out on all the Easter fun while we were away from home.  We made cookies on Friday morning...

...and dyed eggs on Friday afternoon!

Mid-day on Saturday we went for a picnic on the lake in Kelsey's favorite spot.  She *really* wanted to show Grandma the view of Denali from here that we had seen in March.  It was too cloudy, but the picnic was fun even if the mountain didn't show herself!

The girls both helped make deviled eggs on Friday and Saturday.  We took our ham, spuds, and peas with us and had our Easter feast a day early on Saturday evening.  It was sure tasty!  It was so nice and sunny...so warm on the deck we almost could have eaten outside!

These two had lots of fun soaking up the sunshine, blowing bubbles, playing frisbee, drawing with sidewalk chalk, searching for bunnies, going for walks, and hanging out in the porch swing.

And although she foiled our plans to show her off on Friday, Denali was out in her full glory on Saturday when Scott and I went on an exploring drive.

It was a lovely weekend!  We even hunted eggs outside, though I was having so much fun watching the girls hunt that I forgot to take pictures.  Oh well...Happy Easter!

  1. Was a wonderful time with Family at the cabin. Having lunch- -BBQ on the frozen lake, snow machine riding on road & lake, decorating easter eggs to just spending time watching movie --playing cards--walking--watching the girls play. Just was a good time. thanks Korbe's. :-)
