Last week we continued our Alaskan tradition of celebrating the summer solstice. We actually did it a day early. We thought we had celebrated it early, but turns out we were right on time thanks to 2012 being a leap year! As much daylight as we have right now 5 seconds one way or the other isn't big deal anyway!
The girls and I made some decorations, some fancy cupcakes, and we had a few friends over for dinner. In other years we've had outdoor meals, but the weather didn't cooperate this year. Lots of our friends were out of town, so it was a small gathering...but big fun!
