Beautiful!

We ran into town this weekend to pick up some groceries.  The weather was atrocious in Whittier when we left, but we were blessed with sunshine and blue skies on the other side of the tunnel.  It was especially sweet because we spent an hour waiting for a train on our way out of town and about 45 minutes waiting for a train on our way back home!  That part was not so fun.

Here's the view along Portage road between Whittier and the Seward Highway.

Though it's not a technically wonderful photo, I like this one of the trees reflected in the window, reflected in the mirror.  If you look closely you can also see me reflected in the mirror...lucky you!

Pretty view along the way...

And finally, some kite boarders at 20 Mile which is just before the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center as you're driving from Anchorage to Whittier.  It was the perfect day for them to be out!
