One of the things going on in Whittier while we were gone was the creation of the Whittier Community Ice Rink. Sounds fancy, huh?? We're pretty excited about it! Several community members worked to shovel off and flood the basketball court at the city park. Goodness knows it's been plenty cold since we got back...no thawing danger thus far!
The girls and I ventured out on Saturday and went scooting around. The wind was really blowing, but we had fun for a little while! Someone has left hockey pucks and sticks there for community members to use as well.
My little amateur hockey players...
Pssst...don't tell, but I have skates for them now too! They're figure skates, not hockey skates, but I think they'll survive! :-)
